PCH Pilates & YogaWhat originally motivated you to try Pilates?I originally heard about Pilates from a friend who was an ice skater and in amazing shape. She told me how great Pilates was and that is why I decided to try it.
The last thing you bought and loved?My
vitamix! I never thought I would be okay with spending so much on a blender, but it is AMAZING!
In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?Memorable.
Your favorite Pilates exercise?Footwork and all the variations you can do with it.
Your favorite website (other than Pilates Anytime)?My favorite website at the moment is
Pilates For New Mothers by
Leah Stewart. Although, I am not a mom yet, I do enjoy watching Leah Stewart’s
raw food recipes. They are easy and really good!
Your favorite workout clothes?I am Beyond.
How did you hear about Pilates Anytime?Another Pilates instructor told me about it.
Do you practice a particular style of Pilates?I use the
BASI approach as my foundation and like to add variations from other classes I’ve taken or observed over the years.
How do you use Pilates Anytime?I use Pilates Anytime to learn variations of exercises, new exercises and cueing methods. I enjoy watching different teaching styles and incorporating it into what I teach clients. Pilates Anytime is very convenient, affordable and always has new classes to watch.
Do you have a motto?Stay positive and believe in yourself.
What do you appreciate most about your body?(Knock on wood) I appreciate that I am injury free and am able to try different exercises and workout methods.
An indulgence you would never forgo?Cheese.
The book on your bedside table?A Pilates Path to Health, by Gary Calderone.
What was your most memorable journey?Opening my own studio (
PCH Pilates & Yoga).
