What originally motivated you to try Pilates?
I saw an advertising in my Hong Kong gym of a lady doing some funky looking move on a reformer. It caught my eye and I said to myself: Hey, why not try that - looks like it could be fun....

In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?
Love at first sight.

The last thing you bought and loved?
TRX suspension trainer from TRX Training.

Your favorite Pilates exercise?
Always hard too answer as it changes seasonally. But (being German and all), believe it or not, I am a big sucker for a very precise Spine Stretch Forward. I also like to 'torture' my clients with it. Precision & Control ;-)

Your favorite website (other than Pilates Anytime)?
Pilates Retreat Asia

Your favorite workout clothes?
Prancing Leopard. Their clothes are 100% organic cotton, super soft to wear, always original and unique. Plus they love the remote mountains of the Pamir and Hindu Kush, just like I do.

Do you practice a particular style of Pilates?
Classically trained - evolving with purpose

How do you use Pilates Anytime?
To find inspiration. To reflect back on things I once learned. For my own sanity (practice).

Do you have a motto?
Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.

The living person you most admire?
My husband.

What do you appreciate most about your body?
It's ability to snap back into shape after 2 pregnancies.

An indulgence you would never forgo?
A foot massage when in Hong Kong.

What was your most memorable journey?
It seems my life has been filled with journeys. Physical and spiritual ones. The most amazing and ongoing journey is probably that of an absolutely passionate Graphic Designer turning into an absolutely passionate Pilates instructor. I still work as a designer, but now I also work with bodies and that is most incredible experience. Seriously, no one can know what life has in store, even if you think you are on a straight path...
