What originally motivated you to try Pilates?I was a Fitness Instructor, for a long time and I decided that eventually I should stop jumping and doing many clases a day, like indoor cycling, aerobics, step, etc. I started learning Pilates while I was teaching fitness classes. Now I am so happy and know I made a very good choice. And I get to keep doing what I love and that is teaching. I should say that there's a great difference; Pilates is a way of life.
The last thing you bought and loved?Black shoes.
In one word, describe your first Pilates experience?Breathe.
I was in Lanzarote, Canary Island, with Mo Sherry, from Pilates Institute. Breathing was very difficult for me, because, when I was a child, I used to sing in choir and the way you breathe is different. Then I studied journalism
and you also have to breath in a certain way to speak clearly and correctly, so it took time for me to learn just how to breathe properly.
Your favorite Pilates exercise?Arabesque.
Your favorite website (other than Pilates Anytime)? The Pilates articles on
About.com by Marguerite Ogle.
Your favorite workout clothes?Nafta. How did you hear about Pilates Anytime?I'm always searching for Pilates information and came across Pilates Anytime in my search.
How do you use Pilates Anytime?I live in Spain, so it is difficult for me to go to the USA to learn from all the excellent Pilates instructors I love, so this is the best way I can learn from and know about them.
The living person you most admire? My mother.
What do you appreciate most about your body? Its flexibility.
What was your most memorable journey? The first time I met
Pat Guyton.
