Grand Prize 2011

We hope that you will be excited about the Grand Prize. This is how we expect the week to go, but (our lawyer makes us say this) the Official Rules govern.

Fly to Los Angeles. Fly economy from the big airport nearest to your home to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). We hope that you will arrive on Monday October 30, 2011, but we understand that some people may wish to be at home on Halloween and fly on Tuesday November 1, 2011. This description assumes that the winner arrives on Monday. We would prefer the winner to arrive on Monday so that we can have more time for the video shoot. Pilates Anytime will meet the winner at the airport.

Cost of the Flight. As part of the prize we will pay for the return flight up to a cost of fifteen hundred US dollars. We beleive that this budget will cover the cost of a flight in late October 2011 from most places in the world to Los Angeles. If it turns out that it is more expensive then we would ask the winner to pay the difference. The winner is also responsible for paying the cost of travel to and from their local airport.

Drive to Santa Barbara. We will drive up to Santa Barbara and if the flight arrives late in the day we will have dinner in Los Angeles and if it arrives earlier in the day we will have dinner in Santa Barbara.

Hotel Accommodation in Santa Barbara Area. The Pilates Anytime studio is located in Santa Barbara area. We will book a local hotel for Monday and Tuesday night.

Pilates Anytime Video Shoot. On Tuesday morning Kristi will pick up the winner from the hotel and drive to the Pilates Anytime studio. The day will be spent filming classes and the Instructor Video. Prior to the trip Kristi will discuss the details of the day with the winner.

Drive to Palm Springs. On Wednesday morning the winner and Kristi will drive from Santa Barbara to Palm Desert. The journey takes about four hours.

Pilates Method Alliance Meeting. As part of the prize Pilates Anytime has purchased a pass to the Pilates Method Alliance Meeting so that the winner can enjoy the conference. The conference schedule starts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening and ends on Saturday evening.

Hotel Accommodation in Palm Desert.The conference is being held at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and a room will be provided for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Pilates Style Magazine Picture Shoot. Pilates Style Magazine will set up a studio at the conference and will schedule a photo shoot with the winner during the conference. The objective of the shoot is to produce a four-page exercise spread for inclusion in the January / February 2012 edition of the magazine. Pilates Style will be talking with the winner prior to the trip to California.

Pilates Anytime Party In The Desert. On Friday night Pilates Anytime will be hosting a party at the conference for our friends. The winner will be our guest of honor and will have the opportunity to meet many of the leaders of the Pilates community.

Drive from Palm Desert to Los Angeles Airport. On Sunday morning Kristi will drive the winner back to LAX. Kristi will do what she can to make sure they catch their plane and get home in time for work on Monday!
