My favorite postnatal mat routine so far! Just what I needed at 9 weeks PP.

I'm not postnatal but this is the best mat class I have come across for chronic pelvic and lower back pain. Thank you so much!

I’m not postnatal, however I love discovering flexion free classes. This was incredible. I loved every single minute of this routine. I’ve added to favorites. Thank you! I already cannot wait to repeat.

I'm confused by the class saying no flexion. Aren't we finding flexion in child's pose, spine stretch, cat cow, etc? Can you explain how this isn't flexion?

Hi Dani F — Natalia from the Pilates Anytime Team here. I am also a certified instructor!

This is a great question — In regards to this class in particular, the majority of the exercises do not require flexion throughout the spine, but there are a few exceptions like the Cat/Cow, Spine Extension and Child’s Pose where spinal flexion and extension are naturally occurring in the movement.

For the purpose of this class, we would encourage students to perform these particular exercises within their own range of motion. For some, that may mean maintaining a long spine and focusing on abdominal engagement, while others may be ready to begin to explore a smaller range of extension and flexion that works best for them.

We hope this provides some additional clarity in regards to the purpose of this class! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@pilatesanytime.com
