Just received my Stott Tower Trainer. The springs are white (long for legs), yellow (loose), black (tight), and blue (short - medium).
I would like to know about the Balanced Body springs and their relationship to the springs above.
If anyone has a moment to provide some info, I would be so grateful. I did Tom McCook's PA Tower class last night, and I was so lost because of trying to figure out what springs are analogous.
Catherine ~ I have never worked on the Stott Tower Trainer, but I have worked on the Balanced Body Tower. Unfortunately with spring resistance, there is no right spring to use for every body as every body requires different resistance to assist or challenge the movement. You mostly just have to try various springs until the setting feels appropriate for each exercise. However, here is my guess: Purple leg springs on Balance Body equals White springs on Stott. The short red spring on Balance Body is typically used with the Push Through Bar, and is likely equivalent to the blue spring on Stott. The Yellow springs on Stott could match the Yellow springs on Balance Body used with the Roll Back bar or as lighter arm springs. The black springs on Stott could also be used as heavier arm springs. Do you have a Tower Trainer too? I have asked on this forum, asked at studio where I work out, and even called the Stott Training Ctr. in Charlotte, NC (I live in Raleigh NC) asking about TT, but haven't ever connected with anyone else who is using it.
