Pilates on reformer for runners

Hi, I have a few clients who are preparing for marathons taking place in the next 2 months. While we have been working on legs, glutes and upper body strength over the last few months is there anything I need to pay special attention to in the last phase of their preparation ? Guidance to any resources would be greatly appreciated.
As a marathon runner & instructor myself IT band, and lower abdominal are crucial to me. The first thing to deplete in endurance running is the core so making sure they are really working on all layers so they don't compromise the lower back towards the end of the race. I do a ton of ad& abductor strengthening as well as pikes and such for my core. Hope this helps!
