One leg shorter than the other - how to exercise with those klients?

I have some clients with one leg shorter do you have any experience with this postural problem.
Than you for any suggestions.
Hi Ania, As a massage therapist and pilates instructor , I do see this quite at bit as am certain do other instructors. The term is called 'functional' short leg discrepancy. I am fortunate that many of my students are also under the care of a Dc or Pt so I always am careful to follow their protocol.
But in my pilates training I was taught that the body will many times 'self correct' during supported aligned movement . Especially in supine on the reformer during the footwork, it you watch for even alignment.
Also you can research some of the past work from " Fryett's" and / or "Cailliet's " work there is much interesting and helpful information on this topic. Some of them say it runs as high as 90% of the population.

Hi There. I have one leg shorter than the other, and find that it creates a mixed bag. Little things like orthodics, have made a huge difference. So wearing those on the reformer for standing adductor work. I put a pad under the shorter leg for double leg work. Sometimes I adjust the strap length for feet in straps and other times I don't depending upon how I am feeling. When doing supine work I allow for my feet to be parallel but not necc. even esp for pelvic curl ups. That can really jam into my hip. I am not sure if you've thought of these things, or if that is what you were really trying to find out. My body has definitley compensated for it over the years, but as I get older the "crunched" side (ie long leg side) gets more painful . Love and hate mermaid on the spine corrector for that reason. Good luck. For me, Pliates, has made 2 different leg lengths not so painful.
