Rotator Cuff, seratus anterior weakness.

I went to massage therapist for massage and mentioned I was having a headache. I guess the therapist went too deep while working on my neck and shoulders because after when I went to hand my card to pay with my left arm, my arm could not stay up. IT felt really weak. I have been doing stuff on my own to help it, it has improved but I still after this happened find it difficult to lift my left arm when doing superman and pilates swimming exercise. Any tips or advice on exercises? I am seeing a Physical Therapist about it next week.
thanks

Jodie, just wanted to say i am sorry for this as i experience a similar difficulty in my left side also, this should not happen after a massage! I would very much like to hear any advice too. Get well soon.
Thanks Z A.

Side Arm Preps: lightest spring on the reformer, sitting or kneeling sideways. Strap in the hand closest to the pulleys:
1. Internal Rotation (bent elbow stays close to your side while the hand moves in and out) - targets the subscapularis.
2. Adduction (elbow stays bent, hand stays near belly as elbow lifts up and down) - targets the lats, teres major and pec major.
Strap in the other hand:
3. External Rotation (same as #1 performed the opposite direction) - targets the infraspinatus and teres minor.
4. Abduction (same as #2 performed the other direction) - targets the deltoid and supraspinatus.

It's important to set the scapulae in neutral before performing these exercises.
