I have a new reformer at home but did not purchase the "box" to go with it. I'm finding it difficult to find a class that doesn't involve use of the box, as even when I choose "no props" they still use it. I think that the box should be classed as a prop as it doesn't always come as part of the purchase… this will make it so much easier when trying to find an appropriate class to do! Thank you, Sarah
Sarah ~ Thank you for your forum post. Because the box is part of the Reformer and there are very few Reformer workouts that don't use the box, we don't add it as a prop in Reformer classes. We have a tutorial that will help give you ideas of how to modify the exercises that are on the box. I hope this helps!
Hi Gia, I agree with Sarah and find the same problem. As a non pilates instructor or professional I do not own an eye watering expensive reformer but have a home use machine without the box. I find I can very easily adapt with the exception of the box and I am finding the same problem Sarah. Even if you had the reformer but did not want a workout with the box it would be difficult to search. This search function can't be too difficult to add in.
I would really appreciate having more level 2-3 mat classes using the mini chill ball. I can count the classes on one hand. I have to fall back on you tube or google this type of class.
HI Belinda, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the mini chi ball as a prop, just isn't that common in Pilates classes. Michael King will be visiting again before long. Perhaps he will bring them with him again and be able to fulfill your request.
Thanks Kristi! Unfortunately at one of the facilities I work at we don't have a lot of props so I try to use what I have and be somewhat creative. I'll keep looking.
