The bulk of videos posted for months now have been about training, Pilates heritage, nuances of the business, and on and on. I practice Pilates, I am not in the biz, and I am not interested in its teaching methodology or history beyond what I’ve already seen on the site. I'm hope that PA will produce more straightforward and intense workout videos. Just flat out workouts that keep it fresh and interesting! I realize PA's biz is built around serving the Pilates business community, but day after day for some time now, it’s been discouraging to see that new Reformer and tower workouts are becoming fewer and fewer, and the ones that ARE posted are often deliberate pace, which is tedious to those of us who do not teach. Courtney, Meredith, Amy, Brent, Tom, and Kristi, please make more like in the early years! I hope those of you who teach will understand that there are PA subscribers who are not in the business. Thank you.
Catherine ~ thank you for your feedback. We will make our best efforts to produce more Level 3, accelerated pace workouts! A lot of the newer content you see has been a product of our recent goal to make sure that we have all types of content on the site, filling in the prior void of history, teaching, and business needs. It is definitely not our intention to cater just to the Pilates business community, but rather to ensure that all of our members can find what they need. For "tougher" instructors, I would suggest trying Brett Howard, Melissa Connolly, Kathy Corey, Mariska Breland, and Kathy Ross-Nash.
Thank you, Maria. I do use the filter to look for classes by level and pace and it is very helpful. Hoping for reformer and tower workouts that new and fresh workouts that move along. Level 2, 2/3 and 3 classes that are creative and inspiring. I enjoy MC, KC and Brett's classes. MB and K R-N only have 1 reformer class each, but i'll surely give them a try. Thanks again.
I agree with the comment as i relied on PA for my weekly pilates but i started considering going back to studio more regularly unfortunately. I have written a comment about lack of classess but received no reply... We need more one hour equipment workouts please!
ZA We're Sorry you didn't receive a reply for your previous comment. I hear you and thank you. Rael Isacowitz is here this weekend teaching a 60 min Reformer and another 60 min class that uses the Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Reformer combined. Most people tend to request shorter classes which is why we began to structure them a little shorter. I will make sure that the visiting instructors know teaching longer classes is also good and that there are requests for higher level classes on the apparatus. Thanks all for your feedback.
I agree too. I've posted about this issue in another thread and have been feeling the same. I also noticed the decline in workouts at 2, 2/3, and 3 all the while there's been lots of tutorial videos and stuff related to instructors. I too rely on PA for workouts.
Thank you Pele. If there is more to what you've posted in another thread that wasn't responded to and isn't reflected here, please let me know. You can also email me directly at kristi.cooper@pilatesanytime.com
