I've adore the diversity of the teachers here and almost always take a new mat class when it becomes available no matter what level it is or who is providing the instruction. Quoting one of my favorite teachers; Meredith Rogers, "Pilates at any level is never easy." This is so true when you bring your intention to each and every movement, position and class! I've discovered over time that the BASI philosophy/practice is my "go to" class and using the site's filters makes it super easy to find those. Ive listened and watched to Kristi, Tracey Mallet, Ed Botha, and Sarah B so often that I can anticipate their words! That said I am richly rewarded by classes like Courtney's (Stotts) and Melissa Connolly & Mariska Breland (Julian Littleford) Amy Havens (Booty Barre) Alycea Ungaro, Jennifer Kries and Brett Howard.Don`t overlook the prenatal and postnatal classes. I revisit Leah Stewart's fitness ball class frequently and I am loooong past my maternity days.
Since I am hijacking this space I'll add that after all these years I still only take mat classes. My only props are magic circle, small and fitness balls, theraband and weights. Five years and nothing about this site gets "old". Oh and when I began PA we still had DIAL UP connection where I lived in Mexico!!! I have introduced so many folks to this site...much easier to encourage someone like you Kimberly who already found it!
