Thank you Kristi Cooper for sharing what is surely an ever changing story. My brother-in-law has suffered multiple TBI's from his time overseas. It has been a game changer for him, literally. The severity of his TBI, coupled with PTSD, put him in the position of being chosen by the government to participate in a study of 3 persons with similar injuries. He was hospitalized for 6 months while they tested different rehab and mental health modalities and medications. He is not the same person. And sometimes that's okay. But I think he's still morphing, so to speak, and that, perhaps, is the most difficult. If I were to share anything from this outward perspective it would be, to be open to your new landscape. My brother in laws new job is completely different from his life's training. A total shift and direction. But he is moving forward and for his story, that's a beautiful thing. I hope and pray for beautiful things in your life Kristi....💕🌸

My brave and generous friend Kristi Cooper You ARE joy for sharing and telling your story as it stands for now. You are also loved by many, myself very much included, and surrounded by complete and utter support for who Kristi is and will become on this journey.

Kristi - thank you for sharing. I'm so glad you're ok.
I honestly don't know what to say. I am so touched by the responses offered here. Audrey, Tara Rachel Goransson, I am so sorry you are each in the midst of invisible injuries too and Genevieve Malcolm, I am so very sorry for your loss. Annie, thank you for the work you do. Angela, what you say is so wonderfully kind. To all my friends here, virtual or actual, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this show of support.

Hi ... i've been a Pilates and Yoga anytime member for a while now and I was comforted to know that I'm not alone either. .. I read your writing on your concussion and I am praying for I happy journey and hope and clear answers for a successful healing...your journey and my journey seem very similar right now ... briefly I will tell you that I have been struggling with head pressure and dizziness for the last five years and the things that are my passion like teaching yoga and Pilates have been hard to do The way I want to do them with the symptoms so I can understand your struggle ..... and I can tell you the most important thing is to place your attention on hope . Wayne Dyer and his wonderful books have been a true blessing ... let me know if you're interested and I'd be happy to tell you some of the things I've done to link me to hope when I feel like I'm not connected to that powerful source .
Kristi I so appreciate you sharing your story and will continue to hope for better days to come for you. As you know I am a chronic migraine sufferer and sometimes have them for 3 to 4 days in a row where I am almost incapable of doing anything. I have dealt with plenty of people who don't understand the pain and frustration I go through, or the tremendous effect it has on my life. Thank you for being so brave and honest!

Kristi, You are an amazing and special person. Despite the enormity of your TBI you are continuing to inspire and help other people by being so open and sharing your experience. Being so truthful and honest is costly and brave so thank you. Its brilliant that you are still dancing even on your down days As you continue to heal- be patient and kind to yourself and your brain. Every cloud has a silver lining - even if you can't yet see it.

So sorry to hear of your struggles, Kristi Cooper . I have been a silent admirer of yours for years. Your bravery in going public with your eloquently written story is just one more thing to admire and aspire to! While my situation is completely different, over the last three years, I have become a caretaker of my often bed-ridden, largely socially isolated, now 15 year old daughter with hEDS, a form of joint hypermobility syndrome, mitochondrial dysfunction, suffering from frequent joint subluxations, chronic pain, non restorative sleep, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety,.. I am all too familiar with the inability in the medical world, let alone the world at large, to acknowledge or treat these types of 'invisible' symptoms which have so unfortunately fallen upon you. UNSOLICITED ADVICE in the next post (as too long otherwise!):

UNSOLICITED ADVICE (cont'd): We have found the best help so far via the use of medicinal mushroom capsules, and other natural supplements, subscribed and evaluated by a holistic, orthomolecular medical doctor. Plus some additional alternative therapies such as IV therapy and accupuncture. That was at the end of a looong list of specialist doctors and therapists who were largely ineffective to us, often subscribing drugs with harmful side effects and draining us of the little energy left after dealing with the daily struggles. Perhaps you could also be best helped from a holistic naturopath well versed in orthomolecular medicine. (www.orthomolecular.org may be helpful.) From the bottom of my heart, I wish you a shortest possible route to newfound health and JOY. Sending abundant healing energy, Renée Schibler
