Thanks so much Lesley! I think you are such an amazing teacher! Love everything you said about being the teacher that your clients need. Even after practising as a Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor for 16 years, I still go through imposter syndrome. It’s tricky not comparing yourself to other instructors, but you’re totally right, their journey is different and that’s totally ok. This is exactly what I needed to hear today xxx
Jo M Awe I love reading this! Thank you so very much for sharing this with me today! Its tricky but so important to not compare. Notice what you're feeling and then use it as a guide for where you might (key word is might) want to explore more. xx~LL
Thank you so much for this, it was very well presented. I hope that my teaching will expand with all that I'm learning. I've been teaching for about a year and loving it. Forgetting ques and laughing it off, getting to know the clients and trying to add more variety to my teaching. Thanks for the reminder to make sure to get my own practice time in. So very easy to forget.
Kim M I love that you laugh! That is so key and shows how present you are! And full permission to forget all the cues and just say what is needed in that moment. When I first became a teacher I was saying everything the way my teacher had. And then I taught a brand new client. I saw the cues. That person didn't move. Or when they did move did somethng that was not what i was suggesting. So keep having fun and trust your gut and your connection to what you're teaching and your brilliance will shine. xx~LL
