Great workshop Amy. You and Rachael are an inspiration to me, just as you were in 2007 when I went through the Pilates Center training program. You are both brilliant teachers. Thank you.
This workshop was amazingly helpful! Thank you for explaining the concept of tensegrity in a way that makes sense and is so very applicable to teaching Pilates as it was originally created. I have attended workshops about fascia research before, but really hadn't quite figured out how to communicate this concept and until very recently had no idea how it completely changes our ideas on how the body should move. Many thanks!
I really enjoyed this video, and I've found that your imagery actually makes the work much more intuitive for me. However, I'm having difficulty finding the 'tensegrity suspension' with open-chain spinal extension. For example, with swan on the barrel, I have no problem maintaining a sense of lift, but can't find it at all on pulling straps (long box) or swimming. I am sure this is at least in part due to the fact that I am still working to open my chest and re-mobilize my thoracic spine, but do you have any suggestions/imagery that might help?
I just bought this program, Amy. I didn't know you had something like this on Pilatesanytime. I have the same little tensegrity model as you do and I love the way you explain it. So glad I found this workshop.
Hi Amy. That was so useful I actually did a light amazing Teaser..... I don’t like teaser but I’m now working with tensegrity to make it a movement I enjoy! Love that workshop thanks from the uk! 🙏🙏
I attended this workshop when it was filmed. I thought it was brilliant then as i do today ( I just rewatched it)... as you say.. the Goldilocks principle... you'll know when it's right. This is how this workshop feels... just right.
