About Courtney Miller

Primary Teacher Training: STOTT Pilates®

Courtney Miller is a fully certified Pilates instructor earning her primary comprehensive certification with Stott Pilates at the Toronto Canada head office. She has since studied world wide in both classical and contemporary methods and welcomes learning opportunities whenever possible.

She began teaching in the fitness industry in 2001 and has passionately pursued certifications in Pilates, Yoga, PreNatal fitness, rehabilitation, ballet barre, TRX, nutrition, and personal training. Her areas of speciality include prenatal Pilates, athletic conditioning, and creating contemporary Pilates workouts with focus on form, transitions, and muscle sequencing patterns. Courtney is a master Pilates educator and speaker, Pilates Anytime instructor, published fitness writer and contributor, fitness model, and ambassador and spokesmodel for ToeSox. Courtney is thrilled to be working with Club Pilates as VP of Operations and Marketing - a company that like her, believes in a positive and inclusive message, and that with Pilates we will make the world a happier place!

"I believe Pilates should be fun and functional. I aim to educate my clients on the essence of the movement as this will stay with them long after the session ends and into their everyday life. Once a client starts to incorporate Pilates principles of proper biomechanics and functional alignment into what they do daily, they begin to move with more efficiency. This translates into more energy, less pain, improved endurance and strength, an elated mood, and an increased sense of empowerment. To be able to do what we love more often and with greater ease makes people happier and improves their quality of life. I feel so blessed to be a part of something so positive!"

Originally from London Ontario Canada, Courtney moved to the United States in 2006 and found her bliss in Encinitas, California in 2008. When not teaching or traveling, you will find Courtney on the beach, playing outside, doing Pilates and Yoga, hiking with her boxer Paris, and enjoying life with her love, Mathias.
