Interlacing fingers? there are some schools which suggest this is not the best as it may encourage people to pull on their heads? in fact I was taught never to do this? I would value other opinions on this
I find interlacing the hands very helpful as it allows me to cue my client to lightly press their head back into their hands instead of propelling their head forward with chin to chest.. this should can also help engage the lats as well.
Shelley, thank you. I would have liked to hear your opinion of how to cue clients where to keep the head when the hands and arms are stretched out, like in the hundreds or single leg stretch. Do you like "ears pointing to the ceiling", or for the eyes- "Look straight forward.."? And so often it is more lacking mobility in the Thorax that make people stretch the head forward or letting it hang back.. What do you do then?
