Hi! I am planning on buying a reformer to have at home and need something that can stand on end. Ideally I would like a tower to go with it and am been looking at the allegro 2 by BB but haven't seen one yet. Am also looking at peak reformers. Any advice? Either on the allegro or otherwise?
The Allegro 2 is completely different then the original Allegro. It's not as "portable" as the original, and cannot be stood on end. The footbar is REALLY heavy! They made it so that you are able to move the footbar the entire length of the Reformer like you would be able to do with a Clinical Reformer. I personally like the original Allegro much better then the Allegro 2.
I love the IQ Reformer too, and think it is the best "home" reformer on the market. The only think I don't like about it is that the footbar only has 4 positions...but it's a fabulous reformer!
Has anyone else had experience with the new allegro 2 by balanced body? It looks very easy to use and versatile. It does stand on end but I understand it is very heavy to get upright. Has anyone felt the footbar doesnt lock in place well? The first allegro seemed so unsteady, it looked like it is much more stable on the performance video. appreciate any feedback.
I do believe Stott also makes a stackable home reformer. I know the ones at Peak stack on top of each other & are light weight. I have worked out on both of these machines & personally prefer the Stott Reformers over the Peak., Thats just personal taste. Unless you just need one to stand on end. But maybe just do a search on, BB, Stott & Peak see what you come up with. Those are all good reputable companys. So you should be able to find one in the mix!
