so i'm just looking for others with this problem to chime in here...basically i do NOT own a reformer, i do not have access to a personal pilates instructor, and so i'd like to know once and for all (with those of you who have bulges or similar)...which exercises can you NOT do? or have to modify???? thank you so much :) (right now i'm doing most things)
That's a pretty tough one to answer without knowing the person (you) Cindy. The fact is many people have bulging discs but no symptoms of back pain and vice versa. How you would answer that question would depend on many factors related to the person who is asking... Is there pain, if so when? have you been advised not to do certain actions? etc.. I suggest you check out Rael Isacowitz Free Back Care workshop for more information. Back Care Essentials
Hi Cindy :) As a PT of 20 years, generically speaking may want to focus on extension exercises; ie: modified swan; long box pulling straps 1 and 2 with neutral pelvis. Certainly a diagnosis warrants professional physcian follow-up at your discression.
thank you so much :)
