In my mind I think following some of Leah Stewarts videos would be helpful. ,Mainly because she works with new Moms that not only have delivered vaginally but also those returning from c-Sections. Its still the same basic concept of strengthing abd wall and re-building core strength. The breathing techniques along wiht a calming friendly workout environment would be a tremendous assett to a woman returning from a hysterectomy. Believe me shes a roller coaster of emotions just like new mothers. Believe me I had to have one when I was only 39 due to cancer. And I surely wish I had known what I know now!! Just my opinion.. good luck
Depending on your clients age, strength and stamina I would follow Jamies reply. Also when planning take into consideration her hormone levels and gage this by her emotions. No one did this for me and I felt so deflated feeling exhausted all the time and not knowing why. It got so bad I could not even do Pilates. Also check how her joints are that too will be a pointer to hormone levels out of whack. Slow and steady will get you where you want to be.
Thanks all. Apologies for not getting back to you. It's an incision . And due to her fitness levels prior to the surgery she's progressing in recovery. She's currently practicing gently , pelvic tilts and walking. Even attempting the stairs now . It's the bathroom visits causing frustration and pain.
Hi Heidi Her bathroom visits are painful? Or she has little control? Having gone through this I had a little repertoire but it is different for us all. Face book me michaelawindsor and I am happy to discuss.
