Different leg lengths

If someone's leg is shorter then the other should footwork be eliminated? What if the difference in length is slight?

Hi Amanda, leg length differences do come up indeed. You may try putting a small pad on the footbar for the foot to be on....this would be for the leg that appears to be shorter. Very often, however, this issue can be coming from their spine and/or pelvis. Further assessment would be necessary to determine that, but if you see a slight degree of difference in leg length, try the pad for awhile and see how things go.
I use something rolled up under the shorter leg. Many clients have been told they have a leg length discrepancy, only to find out, it is something else, like pelvic rotation, so this can be tricky. I actually had X-rays taken and measured the actual bone lengths to confirm the discrepancy. I do a lot of single leg work, as well, and I have had great results! Hope this helps.
