client with arm that doesn't straighten

i have a client whose right elbow is injured and she cannot straighten her arm. if we are working on all fours should i put a prop under the bent arm to match the length of fully extended left arm? thanks.
Simple answer, sure. That makes sense. Without leveling off the length of the arms, your client will be working in some combination of rotation and lateral flexion whenever she's in a quadraped position.

More complicated answer: does it make sense for her to bear weight on an injured elbow? How injured is the elbow? What's the discrepancy between her arm lengths now, and what degree of extension does it look like she'll get back when the injury is healed? Are there other ways that you can get the movement (cat, for example) you're looking for without putting her on all fours?
Hi Kristen,
Thanks for the response. Her elbow has been in a bent position since a previous injury several years ago. she recently fell again so there was new tenderness but that arm, but seems to be feeling no pain now.
we've been doing fairly well with propping the arm in quadriped position. I'd also love advice on arm postions when we are working on swan prep or single leg kicks. At this point she simply finds a comfortable modified arm position for her, but i want to make sure modifying the arms doesn't create any other problems in the rest of her body during those two specific exercises. thanks!!
