Pilates and eye floaters / torn eye retinas

I have a new client who just started pilates at our studio who is not new to the method. He has practised mat pilates but not in a studio environment. After diagnosed with eye floaters, he has been advised by his doctor not to lift heavy weights or do strenuous workouts but advised that pilates should be fine as long as he does not put alot of pressure on the eyes. I am aware to use lighter springs on the equipment, however I don't know if there is anything else I need to consider before starting his training. Would anyone have experience on clients with eye problems, particularly torn retinas (he is not at that stage yet) and whether there are any contra indicatory positions? I'm thinking prone or positions like the elephant or jackrabbit on the reformer? Thanks in advance :)

Floaters come with aging. They don't necessarily indicate progression to a detached retina. Bright flashing lights when the eye is closed are an indication of a tear. Avoid long spine massage, downward dog positioning like in elephant etc. Dont have extreme breathing. I have had a detached retina and was careful after the repair and in the healing process to avoid the above. Hope this helps
