Hi, I have a BB Allegro Sport. The footbar can only be moved into 4 different vertical positions - none horizontal, unfortunately. I have some cartilage issues with one knee and have a bit of pain when I bridge from a high position. At the studio where I take classes on a studio reformer, I move the footbar down almost horizontally while bridging which gives me just a bit of height. Since that's not an option on this reformer, I am thinking about adding non-slip padding to the 5-inch-wide standing platform to bring it up an inch or so. Is this a bad idea? Pilates reformer classes have been amazing for my knees - they are so much better and my legs and hips are a lot more centered and strong. I love my reformer too, (it's a great piece of equipment and I use it all the time) but I miss the nice footbar on the studio reformer.
unfortunately Jennifer , nobody answer you back? i'm an italian Polestar Teacher and i got same problem on the reformer sport on the footbar position, not onlyf on bridging exercise but many others as my customer is very tall and i feel her really uncomfortable .
