Advice pls - waking up the non-dominant side

Cathy M
I'm a new instructor (still training), and this morning I took a Pilates class. On my way back, I noticed discomfort in one hip and felt "lopsided". In the class we did quite a few exercises with the magic circle around our legs and around bent knees. I must have used my dominant side far too much (and pressed too much with the circle). Good lesson for my own awareness, but I'd like to take this into my classes to help people balance themselves out.

How can I avoid this when I'm teaching? Two things I was thinking were warming up and engaging muscles on both sides separately before working them together, and maybe fewer reps. I'd love to hear any advice you have. Thanks!
