Hi! I'd like to know if there's any research, articles or studies about classical and contemporary Pilates and clients with pathologies. For example, what are benefits for two people with hernia (then they have to avoid flextion, in the first time and without supports ) one taking classical pilates classes and the other taking contemporary pilates classes ? I looking for something like that. Thank you!
We don't know of any such articles. The real challenge is actually defining what the difference is between classical and contemporary. Where does one draw the line? What is classical and when does it become contemporary? It's a conundrum. If you find any articles or research, please share!
