Neural Client

Hi all I would really appreciate some tips regarding a client of mine.

She is VERY neural which is no surprise after reading her medical history - Operation for carpel tunnel, operation for TOS, broken coccyx and she suffered a blow to the head that resulted in a burning sensation in her head ever since.

We cannot do anything in supine as it just irritates her upper back and left shoulder.

I have been focusing on lateral breathing, PF contract and release, TVA connection with breathing & PF. We do basic foot work on the reformer on only 1/2 spring resistance, any higher and her back gets niggly. We manage spinal articulation in pelvic curl on the reformer and basic seated work relating to the pelvis.

When we did arm arcs, circles (reduced range - bent elbow) and bookopenings. This resulted in her being so uncomfortable she was in tears.

I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Thanks

I work with a client that is dealing with TOS. I do find that avoiding arms overhead and non-weightbearing and closed kinetic change helps to keep her in a pain-free envoirment.
Diapharamtic breathing has also increased her mobility around her ribcage. Hope this helps.....
