This is not a question. It's just sharing information based on the fact that I am hearing an incorrect cue in mat classes and just want to shed some light. We should never cue to stay tall or long spine when doing spine rotation. Rotation requires side bending also in the facets of the spine. A coupling action. You will automatically get shorter when you twist because of this. If we cue to get taller twisting it creates a shearing force or lack of axial elongation. Over time this shearing creates implications in the spine, which will be another issue to try and correct.
