Jodi- who is providing the training? When we contacted Balanced Body they said it wouldn't be available til Fall. Our Orbits arrived and we've been experimenting with them - definitely a challenge.
We play with it but we have bamboo floors so it makes using them extremely challenging. They need to either be on carpet (not long carpet but short indoor/outdoor style carpet as found on the trade show floor) or you have to have special mats for each of them. We only bought three (thank goodness!) and use them for some amazing stretching and then just a few really strong private clients get to indulge in an ab series similar to that on a stability ball w/ their feet or hands on the orbit (pike, plank, ball up -- etc.). If we had carpet in the studio we'd play a lot more. I hear BBU is going to do the orbit soon, should be great!
I have used the orbitz! Very challenging for more advanced clients however there are also ways to use it for intermediate clients too. It comes with a DVD that is helpful. Lots of fun things you can do with it!
Just bought the orbit! Very very challenging on hardwood floor. I have carpeting at the studio, but tried it at home first. It adds some great circular movement, but have to be extremely careful to maintain lumbar flexion. Haven't tried it with my clients yet.
