A student of mine told me that her hip made a clicking sound while doing the single leg stretch. She didn't have this problem while performing the single leg circles. What causes this and what can she do? Should she drop the exercise altogether? This is a group mat class and even though I try to pay attention to everybody, I have to keep the class moving. Any advice?
Monica ~ Thank you for your forum post. I have a client who has this same issue during Single Leg Stretch. It usually happens when he extends his leg too low. I usually have him keep his leg a little higher and it seems to help. This tutorial by Shelly Power should also help with more information on this issue. I hope it helps!
