Hello instructor community! I'm really having an issue with what a studio is paying me hourly. I've looked up the median hourly rate and am getting paid $10.50 less than the median! I only work there one day a week- can they reduce my pay by so much because of that? I'm unsure how to confront the studio owners about this in a fair way. I tend to be a "blurter" and don't want to burn bridges. Background is, I started as an apprentice and my mentor owned the studio, but sold it not long after, so I'm still getting "apprentice pay" it seems? its been 2 years (years total of me working there, I'm the most senior instructor but work the fewest hours). I never thought anything of it until another instructor there pointed it out. She ended up leaving for pay reasons. Anyway, I'd appreciate feedback! Thanks so much!!
