pilates for paraplegics

I have a new client, 70 year old male, wheel chair bound for 30 years. Wants to work on his core and shoulder stability and neck. Does his own gym routine 4 days a week but after our session today form needs some tweaking. We did arm series seated and push thru bar on wall units today. He is scheduled for 1/2 hour sessions. He can transfer himself to the 1/2 cadillac. Suggestions?

I work with a client who has MS and is in a wheel chair.  She can transfer herself to the reformer and the Cadillac.  Some of the exercises that I do are:

Reformer - use the jumpboard for footwork and bridging. I have to hold her right foot in place.  Sidelying leg presses, left side - one leg, right side both but encourage pushing more with the right.

Cad illac - breathing using the trapeze, I then move the trapeze in closer and we a modified double leg stretch --- just pull legs in using the core.  Arm Springs.  Roll Back but I have to use the wedge behind as she cannot come up if she goes all the way back.  Leg Springs - I put over the thighs for femur dives and femur arcs.  Push through Seated.  Swan w the foam roller.

Th NeuroStudio may be a good resource for you.  I do a full 55 minutes.  You will learn to be very creative.
