Pelvic floor dysfunction, IAP

I subscribe to other forums that discuss issues like pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, diastasis recti. A common thread is that too much IAP and hypertonic muscles are strong contributing factors to these conditions. A critique of Pilates is that there is too much of an emphasis on scooping in, navel to spine and holding the abdominals in, and instead our abdominals (and all muscles including pelvic floor) should be allowed to be more reflexive. I’d love to hear opinions on this. Thank you.
