Kristy, I LOVE the classes, and LOVE the site! Thank you. I think it would be helpful if the instructors didn't wear black, it seems to be a really hard color to distiiguished the form of the body (legs speacially). It would help even if the students didn t wear black (I can understand there is nothing you can do about that). Thanks for the consideration! Ana
Great comment Ana ~ I know its hard to see... especially at night. I will tell you it is very hard to get any of us to wear anything light colored on the lower half of the body other than grey... and honestly there isn't much to choose from. The other options tend to be navy blue, brown, charcoal grey or forest green. We are making an attempt to avoid teaching classes when it is dark outside so the dark window doesn't add to the problem. If ever you have a specific question about position, please ask about it in the forums. And! if you find some good quality workout wear that offers pants in solid colors that aren't those I mentioned above, please let us know! Thank you Ana!
Kristi, I am OBSESS with your site, and it is funny but I feel I pesonally know you and the other instructors. So here I am, in my lunch break, looking for colored yoga pants. Did you know that the ones that go to your knee are called crops? Now, I do! Anyways, I will be posting some sites as I find them on here. Thanks!!!
I think this is the last one for now, but type in Beyond Yoga Women's Original Capri in Amazon's. They have some really pretty fun colors!!!! Bright, but dark at the same time. Defiently, clicking on "add to cart" on this one Have a great day!
Thanks Ana!!! You picked my favorite brands... I feel like I know you too! Just yesterday Pilates Style Magazine came and did a photo shoot at the studio and brought tons of cute clothes that were full of color! I stand corrected and will look for these now. One brand was Prana and the other was.... I'll have to ask, but there was fabulous color and it felt great on too! Here is a pick of it until I find her name... Elisabeth Rossetti? Help? Anyone?
Thats funny because I had just posted on your fb page how much I ADORED this outfit on you!! Love the bright vibrant colors and it does make it easier to watch alignments for all of us out here in computer land! Keep up the great work guys.. cant wait for the new Pilates Style issue to come out. PS: Lucy makes some very cute workout clothes too. I visited a store there while in Houston TX a few years ago.
We are aware of the problem as Kristi said. One idea for night classes is to have a curtain we could cover the black window with, but we don't want to do anything to take away from the beauty or simplicity of the studio in the daytime so it's not a simple as it might sound. It seems like black yoga pants are kind of like blue jeans.
Kristi and others.....I wrote down the name of the brand that many of us were wearing yesterday because these clothes were not only cute and flattering, but they felt great to move in!! Alician Maria Collection by Elisabetta Rogiani. I know I'll be ordering some......maybe even the bright turquoise outfit I had on!!
I LOVE the classes, and LOVE the site! Thank you.
