Sprained ankle

Janet H
Hi! Could anyone recommend a class that's ok to do with a sprained ankle? Thanks.
HI Janet, I sprained my ankle last summer (tripped over my Magic Circle!), and I found that I could keep up with most mat classes, especially where we lay on our backs or sides for most of the class. Some flexing and pointing of the foot fell by the wayside until my ankle had healed, but Pilates Mat work was pretty perfect for this recovery period. I would look at Diane Diefenderfer's recent class, for example. You might have to omit and standing work but most of it should work for you. Note that bridging might also be tough (putting weight on the injured ankle). Here's the link: https://www.pilatesanytime.com/class-view/4494/video/Pilates-Streamlined-Mat-by-Diane-Diefenderfer. Good luck with your recovery!
