I am so very grateful for you for this expression.  As a woman in my elder years, I see the progression I have made from “perfectionism” to “ thankfulness for a job well tried” to “grateful that you (my body) supported me in this journey”.  If you’re already only teaching 16 years, I can’t wait to see your wisdom in the future! As a newer teacher, this is a great reminder to focus on the progress not only of my students but as me as a teacher.  All great teachers evolve...it just does not happen the first day on the job.
