Are you cuing differently to keep the alignment of the pelvis due to the scoliosis? Or as you say it's more about hip joint movement so in order to facilitate the femoral head moving in the joint, she shortens and lengthens? Thank you!
Hello Heba, great question! You can place your hand on the area of the ribs you intention to increase the breath expansion. For example, if the left side of the ribs are approximated (ribs closer together) the other side is more expanded. Your hand sends a sensory information to the area, you focus on the breath moving into that side. You can also add an exhale to approximate the ribs that are too expanded (convex side), hold the approximation while breathing into the other side. I hope this helps.
