Finally - some new tower material! Thank you! Loved the class. I struggled with the trust falls not feeling like my springs could handle it. I also had to switch to long red springs for the plank/mt. climber exercises as the purple leg springs weren't strong enough to hold me up. I'm using a Balanced Body reformer/tower combo unit.
Super fun and creative class! A word of warning… After doing the trust fall and while performing tiger pounce exercises my purple spring hook surprisingly broke and released- sending and detaching the full spring to the floor. I’m on an Allegra 2 with tower…… Thankfully, it wasn’t with one of my clients, but spring tab is now broken. This could be a big danger for classes, or even potential of parts flying and hitting other people in the room with the amount of force as I am still looking for part of the hook. ! I don’t think these hooks are strong enough to hold us and I only weigh 120 pounds…
Tammy W Oh that's scary. I'm sorry that happened. I'm also 120. I have taught both of these exercises many times to people much bigger than us and have never had a spring break. Were the springs older? Did the strap fall off your foot (making the spring close really quickly)? The only time in my teaching career I've had a spring break was a red spring in a jump board class at the point where you said the purple spring broke.
