This is so articulate and well illustrated. Most of my clientele are mature women who are more at risk for osteoporosis than the public in general. I use the dowel to assist my folx to find neutral during short box and a couple of other exercises. I often instuct them to assume a much wider stance for lifting as it seems to enable them to maintain that neutral spine more easily. Does this compute?
Sherri Betz Hi just wondering if you could send me the link to the Osteo PDF to print out for clients please. I would love to share the notes with them. Many thanks Denitta Morris, denitta@active-pilates.com.au
Delia F, yes, I do recommend a wider stance for lifting. Here is a link to a pre-recorded zoom class video about lifting with feet straddling the box at minute 5:22. Wider stance is much easier on the knees and allows also for more ease with hip flexion. https://youtu.be/erIIgI1YHEY
