Love this class, great instruction. I have one question - at the end with the weights we lift from behind the head and up to the sky. Instructions are "elbows out". What are we working there? If we wanted to work our triceps wouldn't we want to keep our elbows in? Thanks for any clarification.
Great question. Triceps work to extend the elbow regardless of the angle. You will still work your triceps in this move with open elbows but you also add the work of the upper back muscles and open the chest. As all Pilates exercises should - this a a classic multi-tasking move.
