Fascinating.
I always think that Carola Trier's contribution within the Pilates Methodology does not somehow get proper recognition.
I love this in sight into a woman who changed so many lives through her passion. She clearly was passionate about everything in her life and that of course comes with it's ups and downs ..But that is Life and its beautiful !!!! Thank you Paul for sharing ...
Thank you Pilates Anytime and Paul! I can’t get enough of the legacy project xxx

I was referred to Carola Trier in 1977, wearing bilateral knee braces, after dance related knee injurys when I was 18 years old. I studied with her for 2 years before moving West. She asked me to stay and become a trainer which I was unable to do, one of the biggest regrets of my life. In 2000 I became a Certified Pilates Instructor following a career as an Occupational Therapist, never returning to dance. Carola was one of the biggest influences of my life. She taught me a lot about how to be a smart, strong, independent woman. I am only so sorry I did not keep in touch with her for I think she would be really proud of what I have done and recognize her influence. She was fiery and passionate and cared deeply for her clients. I loved her dearly.

hi. i’m not sure if anyone will see this but Paul was my grandfather and he unfortunately passed away in December  2019. i know this video is about his aunt, but he did quite a few amazing things as well, including being apart of writing the computer program for Apollo 11. he was very proud of where he and his family came from and i am glad that this video helps to keep on not only his, but Carolas memory and work alive. I don’t know when this was recorded, but hearing his voice again made me cry. thank you.

We (myself and Deborah Lessen who was a student of Carola's) interviewed Paul in in 2017 as part of The Pilates Legacy project. Your grandfather was so interesting to talk to and so kind.  We even went to dinner afterwards where I learned more about his fascinating life. Thank you for sharing  with us. You have our deepest condolences.
