I've taken so many different reformer classes in the past, I recently went out and got the very basic AeroPilates Reformer 651. I do pilates to maintain flexibility and bone and joint health (I sit in a chair all day for work), but also to tone and gain core strength. I've got the ring, but not the box. I just joined PilatesAnytime today—and so so glad to have the resource. Is there a series you'd recommend that works with my reformer for overall function? Why would you recommend a box? Would you recommend resources to design a personalized routine?
Hi Sonal - how exciting you've got yourself set up with a Reformer at home!
Good for you :) You will find plenty of Pilates inspiration here at Pilates Anytime.
I wanted to answer your question about getting a box and pole for your Reformer. I very much recommend it! Perhaps they are available to be purchased separately for your particular apparatus? The exercises done in both the Long Box series and Short Box series (using the same box mind you) are a valuable part of the Pilates system. These 2 series of exercises will help to develop back strength and maintain upright posture - lots of good stuff in there. Hope your Pilates workouts are going well and of course if you have questions along the way you know you've got tons of teachers right here to help you :) Cheers to you! xo
