Great class. Can you explain coming to the toes vs. arch of her foot when she does the chair bridge press down? She complained of calf pain and that along with inner thigh activation helped.

Jessa F I am not sure if I understand your question....are you asking why I didn't put the arch of her foot on the pedal?  I felt that the load was too much and she was over recruiting abductors and possibly piriformis which provoked the nerve pain to get the pedal down.  So I felt that I should decrease the load and activate the opposite ms (adductors) to inhibit that response.  I want to keep her on the weightbearing surface of her foot as in releve'.  I feel that weightbearing on the arch of the foot wrapped around the pedal often results in excessive pronation which is what she was already doing so I didn't want to place the arch of her foot on the pedal.  (I hope I am on the right track with answering your question! :)
