I just wanted to get a better understanding of how in the standing work for the HF how the chin lift and the internal rotation of the arm /ribs tucking add to the stretch. I found this a great exercise but need to understand it more so I can explain to my clients.

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for your message. This action of the pelvis, head and rib cage/spine is what happens at a phase of the gait cycle in the Saggital plane and we’re applying it! The lumbar and thoracic flex when the cervical extends and vise/ versa which keep the head, spine and pelvis aligned as it absorbs force. I hope that’s helpful and all the best!
