Elizabeth D thank you for your comment and apologies for just getting back to you with some suggestions! The Backstroke and Teaser variations in this class are definitely challenging and not for everybody. My first suggestion would be to omit the straps that way the carriage isn’t moving underneath you/your client so the balance is slightly more accessible and not as scary or dangerous. You could also have the client support their head in their hands and do a simple legs lowering exercise with bent or straight knees, ball between ankles, in lieu of Backstroke. For Teaser, I would recommend starting with bent knees at table top and focusing on the lift of the upper body, with or without the straps, also with the option to hold on behind legs for support.
