Wonderful class Laura!! Thanks! Question: when doing short box is it okay for one knee to slightly straighten during the round abouts? Or do you want both knees evenly bent the whole time? It just seems I get too in my hip flexors when I try to keep both knees even during the whole series -moorea
Moorea PÂ I think it is okay for one knee to straighten more than the other when twisting during the short box series. The most important thing is that you're twisting from your waist and obliques first and foremost vs. your hips, but if you reach far enough away on the twist it's likely that one leg will straighten (I often cue to push through that heel in opposition of the arm and side reaching back) and that hip might even lift. I also cue to squeeze the sit bones and butt cheecks together underneath the seat to help sit up out of the hips, thus aiming to take some tension out of the hip flexors. I hope this is helpful!! xoxo
