Dear Heidi, Thank you for your comment, and we’ll try to explain the best we can. We are not sure if your hip flexor issue only occurs in the version we did in this workout or if it is a general issue for you. There are many reasons this can happen, without seeing you it’s impossible for us to know why it is happening. It can be that the leverage of your legs is too hard for you to control; meaning your legs are getting too heavy for you. You can make your leverage shorter (your legs “lighter”) by bending your legs, turning them out slightly or bend them into a diamond shape. (continued in next post!)
In the Teaser we used, make sure that you curl the pelvis under and create a strong contraction and keep it that way throughout the exercise. Especially when you lift your legs, pull your abdominals in MORE, as if your bellybutton is a button to push to lift your legs keeping your pelvis curled under. Remember that no version of any exercise is perfect for everybody. If you are more successful with a different Teaser version, do that version. Having said that, Rome was not built in one day. Be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey. We hope this answer helped you. M&T
