Danita~ Thank you for your response. After reviewing this class, I decided to keep it as a level 2/3. While it was mostly essential work, many of the exercises on the cadillac that Amy taught require more stability and control than a level 1 student might not have. If a student doesn't have enough core strength, especially for the exercises where the hips are elevated, then they could injure themselves. Our other level 1 classes are a lot slower and more basic than what Amy has taught.
Hi Danita.....thank you for commenting and giving your feedback. I do tend to teach a bit on the slow side and pride myself on clear, concise cueing. However, that can slow down the pace. Gia does clarify though.....any hips off/elevated exercises are not level 1/beginning and some of the other exercises I chose do require much more strength and stability. In my mind, pace doesn't determine the level of the class, but rather the intent and purpose of the exercises.
Hi Len! Thank you so much.....how did your duet go with this Cadillac session? I'd love to hear about it! Glad you enjoyed this class and found it way back in the archives!
Hi Amy, the class was a hit! They are advanced students and I like to find different things to keep their interest without straying too far from the classical repertoire. Your variation on the 100, adding Pull Strap & T, the single leg teaser with the twist were just right. They especially liked the straddling push thru. Thank you!
