Great course. I would have loved to see a slide on propping to keep the information fresh in my mind
I’ve been working with someone for two years who has scoliosis- she has had a left hip replacement and has forward head carriage and extremely stiff hips also her left leg is an inch shorter she never keeps any weight on it. Looking for guidance and ideas in this workshop. She had Perthys as a child

Hi Elizabeth, I hope you found the workshop helpful. This workshop was built around Gaby's, the client in this video, scoliosis pattern. Your client has complications of  Perthes and hip replacement. Keep in mind that some of the movements and specific cueing may not be appropriate or effective  for your client. Thank you.

Hello Madeline,
Thank you for such an informative workshop ! My client has exactly the same scoliosis like your student in this workshop, but she also has a bulging disk in her thorasic  spine . I tried using a strap ( wunda chair , box , strap and her pressing the pedal ) and she was in pain after the session. Is that because of the bulging disk or what could possibly cause pain ? The exercise with the roll back barre behind the Cadillac ( foam roller and her pushing into the barre ) feels good right after , but then causes pain when she goes home . Please advice if you can , as it sounds like I should not use the strap for now .
Also, I’m based in South Florida . If you know anyone here specializing in scoliosis , please advice .
Thank you so much in advance !

Hi Anya! I am sorry your client experienced pain. I can't comment on the why since I do not know your client (her age, conditioning, movement skills etc); Perhaps introducing the movements slowly and one at a time to see what feels best for her. Training is to develop strength and improved movement skills to meet her goals not to try to change structure. The Wunda Chair lateral movements are for activation. This requires a very small range. Perhaps, she was moving beyond her range. The strap is for sensory feedback to stay in contact with it not over pressure. The rollback bar with the roller has a sweet spot to find, meaning it cannot be too heavy that is adding stress to hold, but enough resistance for support to allow a letting go.
Sorry, I do not know anyone in South Florida to recommend. If you would like, we could do a zoom session with your client.  Email me if you are interested. Thank you for the work you do!
