Happy New Year, Meredith! My Exo chair just arrived here in Tokyo yesterday, so you were my inaugural workout. I teach Reformer and some Mat, so the other apparatus just coming into my life now that kids are older and I have time to redo my Comprehensive training. How about an Exo chair workout with Resistance Kit?
Genevieve Malcolm how exciting for you to have a chair. I actually don't have access to an Exo chair with a Resistance Kit so I won't be able to design that class for you. Hopefully, you can think of some creative ways to add your Resistance Kit to this or other chair classes. Let me know how you go!
You reference spring location(s), but it’s unclear to me if you mean a light or a heavy spring. Can you clarify please? (I realize each person’s needs are different, but I’d like to use your suggestion as a starting point.) Thank you for your many excellent videos!
Patricia I speak about spring locations because it feels more simple to me than speaking of weight. When the spring is on top it is heaver than if it is on a lower setting. Therefore, two springs on the top would be the heaviest and one spring on the bottom is the lightest. For me a heavy spring would be some combination of two springs and a light spring would be one spring towards the top or in the middle. I recommend feeling out what seems like a good heavy and light spring for you. All chairs are different so it's difficult to be more specific. Hopefully, that is helpful for you and please let me know if you have any more questions!!
Thanks, Meredith. My chair comes with both light and heavy springs, each of which can be used in 4 positions, which was why the spring choice was unclear to me.
